Beauty Seldom Seen

18127411cce7eb0ea06f135b69afca44Mom and pop store in this run down town

Population maybe one thousand souls

Kind of town where each knows of the others business

Across the street a run down derelict of a house

The perfect accompaniment to our impoverished metropolis

Painted of a white sheen

A deluge of time seen

Black shutters creep

Within the most beautiful of lilies survives and blossoms

Brunette of mysterious pause

Flaxen red highlights

Sun hints with gold

Alone like the widow

Others passing on

I rest here on the porch among the sad streets

Occasionally I catch her glance

Before I knew of her, I wanted to know her

I imagined counting steps in time with our first dance

A lonely soul

A scared soul

A guarded soul

This day I sit in random

She appears before my eyes that harden to see her more clearly

Striking in walk, most handsome to observe, camouflage she adorns

Her presence only so often

She bears the patches

The look

The pride

A beauty seldom seen, I love the soldier even more

About PJ Secluded

Introspective writer working on first manuscript. Writer of original series, poems, musings of sorts and the occasional manic prose. My main blog is an original series seen through the eyes of the lesbian protagonist Burgess. With her brood of studs, they conquer fear and tragedy, embracing love and the experiences between close friends. I have been writing for just a little while now and found a true passion for it. I want to help others through my writing discussing sensitive issues that affect the LGBTQ community in a unique fashion
