There comes a point in our lives that changes everything for us. It happens at different times for everyone but has a profound impact on our own wellbeing and our willingness to discover. Discover our potential and our strength in the face of adversity. As children we believe ourselves to be invincible. Some see this as reckless behavior. What if that is where our true self extends from? The belief that we are not limited by anything or anyone. So we take that leap, we climb the highest trees, we swim the width of a lake so vast we can’t see the other side.
In our growth someone told us to fear, fear the unknown. Someone told us that we couldn’t so we stopped trying. Why? Did they fear the lesson learned from that leap ending in a break, that fall from climbing the tree, the cramp in the leg from the swim? They mistook those lessons as failures not lessons learned.
I say break the rules that society has deemed so cautious that you lose yourself, you lose that strength, and you lose that essence. The essence that frees you from the limits and allows a peace that resonates so loud that people are proud to walk amongst you.
